Lemons
This is too funny. We had some lemons around because we ate salmon for dinner. Micah's cousin Benjamin had just finished trying the lemon (also funny), so Micah had to take a turn too.

5 Years
Five years ago was our wedding. A lot has changed in five years; a baby, the military, moving, the weather (if you were at our wedding you will remember it was 104 that day right now it is 55). Though there has been challenges I would not change anything about these years. Does that sound cliche? Well even if it does, it is true because all of our experiences, the hard and the easy have shaped us, our marriage and our life together. So we have been married for half a decade (that makes it sound long), I look toward the next half a decade and half a century with great excitement.
I love you C!

Seaside
Earlier this month we went and stayed a couple days at Seaside. As we walked around town and the beach it was strange for me to be there with so few people. I am usually at Seaside Hood to Coast weekend when everything and everywhere is packed. We rented a house with Mike, Jackie, Nathan, Vanessa, Hannah, Emily and Benjamin. The house was right on the promenade with a great view of the ocean. It was Micah's first time at the coast, not that he noticed and cared.
Us out on the deck of the house we stayed at.
Hannah and Emily had such a great time playing in the sand and running from the waves. But they weren't that interested in the water after Emily got wet. :)
I love the beach at low tide, you get this great looking wet sand.
The cousins enjoying a ride together.
The girls had fun feeding the seagulls and surprisingly they didn't attack them at all. The seagulls, not the girls. Though the girls didn't attack the seagulls either.
We got great weather while we were there. I was expecting it to rain most of the time. But in fact it was dry more then it rained. Lucky us!
Enjoying a sunset walk on the beach. Don't worry we didn't leave Micah at the house by himself, Grandma and Grandpa were there. The trip was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed being on the coast. We need to not wait three years to go back again.

9 Months
Yet again I am surprised another month has gone by and now I have a 9 month old. This growing up stuff needs to slow down.
In Micah developments the biggest thing in the last month is that he has started to army crawling. Which opens so much more in his world (and mine). Now that he is moving the thing he goes to the most is the shelve with his books. He loves to look at (and eat) books.
Lately we seem to be commenting on the things he does that we have never seen a baby do. For instance, when looking at books on his back he will use his feet to hold them up. He will use his feet almost like extra hands. Another thing he does, is his kicking. The boy just kicks and kicks and kicks and I have never seen a baby kick like he does. But he loves it.
Now he has no problem getting from sitting to floor. Micah can get from floor to sitting but I don't think he has it fulling figured out yet. He is starting to get how to pull himself up on his knees. He is stilling working on getting strong enough and figuring out how to pull his knees underneath him to crawl.
With food I think the only thing new that he has tried is pumpkin. We have still been working on the constipation problems. We ended up putting him on a laxative which REALLY helped. Now that he seems to be doing better with that I am going to start getting more variety in his eating. I have some plums, mangos and avocado for him to try. I also bought some lentils to cook up and will probably try some beans too. But he still doesn't have a huge appetite, with being constipated he all but stopped eating solids. Oh I also got puffs for him to try. He isn't too sure about them yet, but I'm sure he will learn soon. Also, no teeth yet. Okay wow this got long.
:: Update:: Micah weighs 17lbs. 5oz. (15%) and is 28 1/4" (50%) long.
